Something is in the Air!

An angel spoke to the disciples and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

~

Jesus left this earth in what is referred to as the Ascension. But the point here is that something is in the air. There is something about the air, the heavens, the heavenly places and who we are dealing with.

Although we don’t find bible verses explaining why, but we can see enough to show that at some point God put the Archangel Lucifer in charge of the earth, giving him authority to some degree over humans.

~

The bible tells us, that “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

The devil led Jesus up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to Jesus, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.

The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”

From the beginning, no matter the reason for Lucifer having some authority, Christ has always been superior and sacrificed his human form to overcome the evil one.

~

“Here am I, and the children God has given me.”

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. 16For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants. For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

~

The great news is that Jesus came to this earth as a sacrifice to gain our freedom from sin. He will once again to return to collect his flock. Because the Trinity is the only immortal deity, making Jesus the one true King of kings and Lord of lords.

~

to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

~

It is imperative that we have all professed our faith in Jesus Christ and been baptized as in a death and raised from the water to be re-born of God.

~

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.

“Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”

~

It may be too late once he appears or we leave this earth prematurely. We don’t want to be in the crowd that mourns his appearance.

~

'For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. '

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Are you one of those that prays daily, reads your bible getting to know the Lord, living a life that glorifies the Lord daily. If not then today is the day to begin.

~

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

~

If Christ were to return today, are you ready?
